Top 10 Confidence Quotes

Confidence is one of those elusive things we all want more of.  Wherever you are on the spectrum, from completely lacking in confidence, to someone who considers themselves supremely confident, there are always situations where we need a little boost.

There are many ways to get this, but just reading a confidence quote from someone who inspires you, or even someone you don’t know who has words of wisdom can be a great help.

I have a huge list of these and tend to change my favourites often – usually depending on what is happening in my life.  I would recommend picking a quote that resonates with, or inspires you.  Write it on a small card to carry around with you, stick in on your mirror, have it as a screen saver, wherever you will see it often for that confidence boost.

Here are my current top 10 confidence quotes:

  1. Confidence comes from not always being right, but from not fearing to be wrong.  Peter T Mcintyre.
  2. Confidence, like art, never comes from having all the answers; it comes from being open to all the questions.”  Unknown author.
  3. “When you have confidence, you can have a lot of fun. And when you have fun, you can do amazing things.” Unknown author.
    1. I was always looking outside myself for strength and confidence, but it comes from within. It is there all the time. Anna Freud (1895 – 1982)
    2. Concentration comes out of a combination of confidence and hunger. Arnold Palmer (1929 – )
    3. Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.  Norman Vincent Peale
      1. Confidence is preparation.  Everything else is beyond your control.  ~Richard Kline
      2. The best way to gain self-confidence is to do what you are afraid to do.  ~Author Unknown
      3. We probably wouldn’t worry about what people think of us if we could know how seldom they do.  Olin Miller
      4. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.  Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.  It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.  We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?  Actually, who are you not to be?  You are a child of God.  Your playing small does not serve the world.  There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.  We are all meant to shine, as children do.  We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.  It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.  And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.  As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.  Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of “A Course in Miracles,” 1992 (commonly misattributed to Nelson Mandela, 1994 inauguration speech)

I hope these confidence quotes provide you with a little inspiration, lets be honest we all need it now and again!
